Biography
Ihor Semenyuk holds a PhD in Philosophy and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Theology. He is an Associate Professor in the fields of Humanities and Theology at the Classic Private University in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. He currently serves as the President of the Evangelical Theological University in Kyiv, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Christian Academy in Warsaw, Poland, and the Senior Pastor of “Hope of Generations” Christian Church in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine.
Ihor Semenyuk is a member of the board of META (International Evangelical Theological Alliance), which is dedicated to the development of theological education, accreditation, and the establishment of theological educational centers in Ukraine, as well as in Western and Eastern Europe.
Until 2020, Ihor Semenyuk served as the Executive Director of the Assemblies of God Yoido Asia-Pacific (APAC) District for the CIS and Ukraine, where he coordinated the training of pastors and church leaders, as well as the development and planting of new churches across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Since 2000, he has extensive experience in missionary work, particularly in Central Asia.
He regularly leads seminars, training sessions, connect meetings, and conferences focused on critical issues affecting teenagers, youth, families, leadership, healing and restoration, self-discovery, and overcoming life’s challenges. His influence extends beyond Ukraine, reaching into Europe, the United States, Canada, and Central and East Asia.
Recently, Ihor joined the Board of Directors of Arrow Leadership Global – Europe (Slavic).
He and his wife Anna are proud parents of two children, Eugene and Veronika.
Ihor Semenyuk was born on February 17, 1979, in the town of Buchach, Ternopil region, Ukraine, into a family of educators—Valentyn and Olha Semenyuk. After graduating from Buchach Secondary School No. 2, he studied at the Buchach Institute of Management and Auditing. He later continued his education at the Kyiv Bible Institute and at the ELIM Institute in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he earned a Bachelor of Theology degree.
Ihor also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Sociology from the Classical Private University in Zaporizhzhia, and a Master’s degree in the Humanities (Philosophy and Religious Studies) from a U.S.-based university. In 2010, he completed his PhD in the Humanities and his Doctor of Ministry degree in Theology.
Ihor has a younger sister, Lesya, who lives with her husband and daughters in Florence, Italy.
