Biography
Ihor Semenyuk is a Ukrainian public leader, scholar, theologian, author, consultant, international speaker, and Christian minister who has dedicated his life to developing a new generation of leaders, advancing theological education, and helping people overcome crisis, trauma, and life’s greatest challenges.
He serves as President of the Evangel Theological University (Kyiv, Ukraine), Senior Pastor of Hope of Generations Church (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine), Chairman of the Board of the European Christian Academy (Warsaw, Poland), Board Member of the International Evangelical Theological Association (IETA), and Board Member of Arrow Leadership Global – Europe (Slavic Region).
His teaching, leadership, and consulting work spans Ukraine, Europe, the United States, and Central Asia, where he equips leaders through education, executive training, mentoring, and international partnerships.
Igor divides his time between Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia—a city that has become a symbol of resilience, courage, and perseverance during the war in Ukraine. Living and leading in this environment has profoundly shaped one of the central themes of his work:

Holding a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the Humanities, a Doctor of Theology (D.Min), and the academic rank of Associate Professor, Igor is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Sciences (Ed.D./Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences). His work combines academic scholarship with decades of practical leadership experience in higher education, international collaboration, organizational development, and executive leadership formation.
His primary focus is developing leaders who think strategically, lead with integrity, remain resilient during times of crisis, and create lasting impact through values, character, and purpose.
Leadership and Impact
Throughout his career, Igor Semenyuk has played an active role in advancing theological education, international academic partnerships, humanitarian initiatives, and leadership development across multiple countries.
His work includes:
- Leading the Evangel Theological University.
- More than twenty years of pastoral, educational, and executive leadership experience.
- Designing leadership development programs for students, emerging leaders, educators, and ministry professionals.
- Building international partnerships connecting Ukraine, Europe, and the United States.
- Delivering leadership seminars and executive workshops for business leaders, educators, government officials, nonprofit organizations, and faith communities.
- Preparing the next generation for responsible leadership, professional excellence, and meaningful social impact.
- Writing and teaching on trauma recovery, resilience, grief, crisis leadership, and personal restoration.
A significant part of his work is dedicated to leadership development among young adults. Under his leadership, numerous educational and leadership initiatives have been established to prepare a new generation of mature, resilient, ethically grounded, and professionally equipped leaders.
Author and Speaker
Igor Semenyuk is the author of “Help Me Overcome This!”, a book addressing trauma, grief, depression, emotional pain, and the journey toward healing and restoration.
Through his books, lectures, seminars, and executive leadership programs, he helps people move beyond survival toward healing, freedom, resilience, and renewed purpose.
One of the defining themes of his current work is leadership in an age of global disruption.
Through his proprietary leadership framework, HEARTARMOR: Unshakable Leadership in an Age of Change, he equips leaders to preserve their integrity, make courageous decisions under pressure, navigate crises without losing themselves, and lead people confidently through uncertainty.

Igor and his wife, Anna, have two children, Yevhen and Veronika.
Ihor Semenyuk was born on February 17, 1979, in the town of Buchach, Ternopil region, Ukraine, into a family of educators—Valentyn and Olha Semenyuk. After graduating from Buchach Secondary School No. 2, he studied at the Buchach Institute of Management and Auditing. He later continued his education at the Kyiv Bible Institute and at the ELIM Institute in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he earned a Bachelor of Theology degree.
Ihor also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Sociology from the Classical Private University in Zaporizhzhia, and a Master’s degree in the Humanities (Philosophy and Religious Studies) from a U.S.-based university. In 2010, he completed his PhD in the Humanities and his Doctor of Ministry degree in Theology.
Ihor has a younger sister, Lesya, who lives with her husband and daughters in Florence, Italy.
